I’ve got to get this off my chest right away: our “42 quarterbacks” discourse has been absolutely derailed by Dave and Mark, who spent the entire morning giving me grief about Shedeur Sanders. According to them, Shedeur’s the problem—never mind the fact that their own team is a tire fire. Somehow Jaden Daniels gets a full pardon for Washington’s awful season, but Shedeur? No grace at all. Convenient.
Yeah, so the Browns suck. There’s no way to sugarcoat it. Every season starts with a little spark of optimism, a few delusional predictions about double-digit wins, and then like clockwork we find ourselves right back in the mud wondering why we ever believed this time would be different.
We’re barely past Halloween...well, technically “Trick or Treat Friday” and somehow it already feels like the world has moved on. November 2nd hits and suddenly every store is wrapped in garland and Santa is staring at you like you owe him money. Thanksgiving? Apparently that’s just the pregame to Christmas now. But before we sprint into holiday chaos, I’ve got thoughts about Halloween, specifically where the hell did it go?
Coming into the season, there was plenty of optimism around the Colorado Avalanche and for good reason. They’ve started strong, sitting near the top of the standings with only one loss and a handful of overtime wins. Still, something feels just a little off. The team is good really god, but they’ve got a few things to clean up if they want to stay in that top spot.
